Frequently asked questions

How does NightWatch trade? Does it hold my money?
NightWatch never holds funds. On bot plans you connect your own Binance Futures account with a trade-only API key (keys with withdrawal permission are rejected automatically). The watchman scans the market, an AI reviews every setup, and approved entries are placed on your account with a stop-loss and take-profit on every position. You can pause it or close everything at any time.
How do I connect my Binance account?
Sign in → Dashboard → follow the 6-step guide. You'll create a trade-only API key on Binance (withdrawal permission off), restrict it to our server IP, and paste it into the dashboard. Takes about 5 minutes. If Binance shows an "invalid key" error, regenerate the key and check for stray spaces when pasting.
What is the "Ask me first" mode?
In Account → Trading mode you can switch from Automatic to Ask me first. The watchman then never opens a position by itself: when the AI approves a setup you get a push notification, and the signal waits 15 minutes in your dashboard for your approval. Approve it and the position opens with its protections; ignore it and it quietly expires.
What does the Signals plan include? Do I need a Binance account for it?
No exchange account needed. Signals ($10/mo) gives you the AI-approved trade signals from the full 50-coin watchlist — entry price, stop-loss, take-profit, the AI's reasoning, and push alerts. You decide what to do with them, on any exchange you like. Pro and Trader include the signal feed too.
The bot is running but hasn't opened a trade today. Is it broken?
Almost certainly not — it's being selective, which is the whole design. The AI rejects the vast majority of raw signals (you can watch it happen in the night log, reasons included). In choppy or unclear markets the correct trade is often no trade. If the log is completely silent (no scans at all), check that the watch shows RUNNING on the dashboard and your API key is still valid.
How many analyses can I run per day?
Fresh analyses per day: Free 3 · Signals 5 · Pro 60 · Trader 120. Repeat lookups of the same coin within 10 minutes come from cache and are always free and unlimited. Counters reset at midnight UTC.
How do I cancel my subscription?
If you subscribed in the iOS app: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → NightWatch → Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then drops to Free. Cancelling stops the bot but does not close open positions — manage those on the dashboard or Binance.
Can I get a refund?
iOS subscription refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com — we can't process Apple payments ourselves. Billing errors (double charge, plan not activating) are on us: open a ticket below. Full details in the Refund Policy.
How do I delete my account?
Account → Danger zone → Delete account (web or app). This permanently removes your data, API keys, logs and settings. If you have an active iOS subscription, cancel it with Apple first — deleting the account does not stop Apple billing.
Is any of this financial advice?
No. Analyses, signals and automated trades are informational software output, not investment advice. Crypto derivatives are risky — never trade money you can't afford to lose. See the Terms of Service.
